Around the blogosphere
A number of sentencing-related items have caught my eye around the blogosphere:
- Orin Kerr has engendered an interesting debate about judicial activism here following up Judge Bennett's opinion in Saenz addressing substantial assistance departures (first spotlighted in this post).
- Steve Kalar at the NInth Circuit Blog has this thoughtful post about the Ninth Circuit's recent decision in Mix affirming an above-guidelines life sentence (first spotlighted in this post).
- SCOTUSblog here notes that the Supreme Court has scheduled its re-argument in Kansas v. Marsh for Tuesday, April 25, at 1 pm (previous coverage here and here and here).
- How Appealing has links here to media coverage of an interesting Atkins claim litigated in a California capital case.
