I know there were some comments about this previously, but what do people think about Vick's potential Guideline range? It looks like application note 2 to 2E1.2 indicates that a base offense level of 12 should apply, because the underlying conduct violates Virginia law regarding illegal gambling, and therefore the offense level from 2E3.1 should apply. With a base of 12, if he pleads he'll get acceptance and get it knocked down to 10. Not sure if the government will get a leader enhancement on him. Any other thoughts?

Does anyone think that Michael Vick could lighten his sentence by agreeing to make public appearances to condemn the evils of dogfighting? Obviously, that would raise issues of special treatment etc.
