Thankful that media is finally giving President Obama some pardon grief

President Obama continued the modern trend of turkey pardons today, bringing his slemency record to turkeys 4, humans 0.  Upon reviewing the news reports of this now-traditional Thanksgiving event, I was pleased to see these media outlets focused on President Obama's now historic failings in the exercise of his constitutional clemency powers on behalf of people:

UPDATE:  I just saw that NPR also had this lengthy piece on President Obama's pitiful pardon practices, which is headlined "Obama's White House Pardons: Turkeys, Yes; Humans, No."

Thanksgiving is about giving and thanking for the good year that we experienced. This is a great opportunity to slow down and think of better options and solutions to our problems. I didn't say that the President can let go of the responsibilities but let us give him the chance to do his duties well.

Now if only they would take him to task for enhanced interrogations, extraditing terrorism suspects to country's that torture, troop surges and assassination the program in Pakistan. I'm in favor of most of this myself, but I take exception to the media giving Obama a pass when it took Bush to task for the same thing.

MikeinCT --

Not to mention the caskets coming home from Afghanistan. The press had a big hue and cry about this when Bush was in office. Now, even though MORE caskets are coming home, I have seen zero press interest, much less coverage.

Oh, wait, I know. The fallen soldiers are less dead when a Democrat is President. Got it.
