Lil' help for Lil' Kim
I found amusing this story reporting that "Rapper Lil' Kim has issued a set of guidelines to fans writing letters of support ahead of her sentencing for lying to a grand jury, noting many already submitted are more likely to appall rather than persuade the judge." As the article details, instructions posted on Lil' Kim's fan website ask her fans "to be respectful of [SDNY US District] Judge Gerard Lynch and the criminal justice system, [and they] ask fans to refrain from drawing comparisons to Martha Stewart." I also noticed that the fan website suggested that supporters "try to write in a proper format (no symbols, abbreviations, all caps lock)." DAT'S GR8 ADVICE 4 BLOGGERS 2. ;-)

i dont think kim should be sent to jail, she should be pardoned, we are all bound to err, the judge should please temper justice with mercy. I love Lil Kim. I am praying seriously for her

She needs to go to jail. She lied and was proud of it. As she is misguided in her personal judgment concerning physical beauty, she is equally misguided in her own self-importance. I hope she gets sentenced to being in a cell with a mirror so she can see how bafoonish she looks. I hope she rots and no one ever hears from or about her no talented hindquarters ever again. i think it's messed up but that is what happens when you lie and think that your not going to get caught or think nothing should happen to you because your a "celebrity" everyone else told the truth she should have seen then people was looking out for self. but hey that's what happens when you think your peoples is your peoples and their not when it comes to their life.

Kim, I love you and your music. I have been a fan of yours since the days of JM. I hope that you aren't sentenced to jailtime. As a criminal justice major, I am well aware of the ramifications of the justice system. Hopefully, you will learn from your mistake. I believe your vision has been clouded by "the code of the streets". I think Lil Kim should go to jail, in fact she needs to go to jail.
It is a hard fact that 3 out of 10 young black men in the inner city are doing to be killed, and more likely than not killed by other young black men. I'd think we'd want someone to care about that, we'd want that to be important to someone, somewhere. Its just a shame its not important to us.
Lil' Kim may be young and cute, and she might even sing well, but she turned her back when young black men were being shot. Just because she the shooters were black should make no difference. A dead black man is dead, if he was killed by another black man or a member of the Klan it makes no difference.
Lil Kim has liked hanging with gangsters, living the life, fine. Now is the time to pay the piper baby....

It is unfortunate Lil' Kim is to spend time in prison. It is also unfortunate that she has a good chance of finally discovering who she is in prison.. She seems to have identity issues. If she was secure in who she was, she would not have lied for two men, that eventually pleaded guilty. Had she cared enough about herself, she would not be reporting to prison in September. Her various changes reflects a painfully poor self image. Her sacrifice for others as opposed to concern for herself was definitely a mistake. She will have plenty of time removed from the limelight to consider this.

I think the ghetto fabulous little heffer should go to jail. First, she needs to buy better wigs (talk to Beyonce's supplier) because her new girlfried will be pulling on them in her jail cell and the ones she have may fall off!
She claims that the people she let in her surroundings were "free loaders" and bumbs, but if that were true, she should have known that if you lay down with dogs, you will wake up with fleas.
Screw all the talk about black people and their struggles. Hell, the "struggle" part may be true, but she is an outright criminal and poisons the mind of our youth by teaching them to be whores, so it's not like she is a model citizen for our children or anyone else for that matter. She did the crime, now she should go serve the time!

i`ve been reading the comments that have been posted in this forum..and well its interesting to hear the different opinions that people have...however what i do see is that people are sa fast to judge ..now we don`t know the circumstance that she was in and what made her lie..was she being a solider or just doing what she think was right at the time .. some people are gettting over worked on the idea that she lied ...well yea it was wrong...but hasn`t anyone in here lied when they found themselves in trouble? hmm...guess so ..unfourtunate for her she is faced with jail time and only she knows what she did wrong...now ..but shes gonna go on being lil kim...and her fans will love her more..and her hater will obviously hate her more..now just to set the record straight i`m not her fan...just a simple lady who happens to see things in a different perpective..i do wish her the best in this situation.. 1 word of advice .. what doesn`t kill you makes u stronger!

It is truly a tragedy what has happened. Not only is Lil’ Kim a true American icon but her music served as the soundtrack of my high school and college years. Her fashion and sense of style has been one of my top inspirations in my designs and taste of music. To show my support I have created an outfit on the entry page of my site. I know that she will shine bigger and brighter once this order has surpassed.
