Great account of SCOTUS criminal docket
A little late-night web wandering led me to this terrific memo by Fran Pratt which tracks criminal cases in the Supreme Court during the current Term. The memo confirms my initial impression that we are getting a lot of death and habeas from the Court this Term.

I need to know whether to file a case under Booker/Fan Fan for someone who was harshly and inappropriately sentenced.
If prisoner has already served 4 years of a 10 years sentence, (normal time to appeal sentencing having passed), can they still file something for inappropriate sentencing under Booker, Fan Fan, etc?
Is there a deadline for such filings?
Thank you. Please reply ASAP.
