Circuit highlights from DotD
Two notable cases noted by Decision of the Day are worth checking out:
- The Seventh Circuit, as discussed here, has decided that package plea deals are not inherently coercive in Spilmon v. US, No. 05-3750 (7th Cir. July 19, 2006) (available here).
- The Eighth Circuit, as discussed here, has affirmed as reasonable another above-guideline sentence in US v. Maurstad, No. 05-3023 (8th Cir. July 19, 2006) (available here).
